Typical Lunches

Below are some photos of typical lunches that I have at my host house! Lunch is the biggest meal of the day and is usually held between 2 and 3pm. Dinners are much smaller and normally occur around 8:30-9:30pm.

To add, lunch also usually consists of one of the following with a salad:

pasta, tortilla (an egg and vegetable or potato fritatta/quiche type meal), various soups, fried eggplant or zucchini in a sandwich with spinach and tomato, omelette sandwich, sautéed mushrooms, or cheese and membrillo (a dried fruit) sandwich.

Lunch is always really delicious and I’m glad I’m learning about so many new things to try to cook when I return!
